Legend has it that glass was discovered over 2000 years before Christ.
As the centuries have passed, different brilliant glass working methods have been developed, such as free-blowing or mould-blowing.
The Venetian merchants and artisans immediately understood the artistic and economic potential of the product, made the most refined processing techniques their own and, by adding minerals, they managed to create increasingly colourful, uniform and bright mixtures.
Later the glass production was moved to Murano, hence the birth of the "Glass Island" and the glassmakers, real dynasties of artists who still pass on the secrets and qualities of an incredible process.
